Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and professional freelance English-French translator to join our database. The ideal candidate should have experience translating a wide range of content types, from technical manuals to creative marketing documents. The candidate should be a native French speaker with excellent fluency in English, and be comfortable working on tight deadlines. They should have working knowledge of CAT tools and be able to adapt to new technologies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Translate a variety of content types from English to French, and vice versa, while maintaining the original meaning and tone of the content
  • Ensure translated content is accurate, clear, and free of errors
  • Communicate with project managers to understand the translation needs and preferences
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure consistency across all translated content
  • Manage tight deadlines and prioritize workload effectively
Below are the skills needed for the ideal candidate:
  • Native fluency in French and excellent fluency in English
  • Proven experience as a freelance translator, with a portfolio of past work
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent writing skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Familiarity with CAT tools and translation software
  • Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field is preferred
