• Fluency in English and Somali (spoken and written)
• Minimum 2 years of interpretation experience (conference, medical, legal, NGO, or community settings)
• Strong understanding of interpretation, ethics, and confidentiality
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Access to a stable internet connection and necessary remote interpretation tools (for virtual assignments)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant academic or professional certifications in interpretation or linguistics
• Familiarity with interpretation platforms such as Zoom, MS Teams, or Interprefy
• An active LinkedIn profile
• Flexibility to take on assignments at short notice
